Hi there! I’m Guy R. Boyd, the creator behind GB Books. I started writing children’s books in 2004 with one simple mission: to bring joy, laughter, and positivity into the lives of children everywhere. Based in Saint Jacob, Illinois, I’ve dedicated myself to writing and illustrating books that not only entertain but also help kids face their fears, build confidence, and embrace the world with a big smile.

At GB Books, I believe that stories should make children feel safe and happy, while sparking their imaginations and teaching valuable life lessons. My books are designed for kids under 12, and each one is filled with positivity, fun, and adventure – no dark themes, just stories that make you feel good inside.

Fun, Uplifting, and Made for Kids

Let me introduce you to my latest creation, My List of Scary Things. It’s a story about a little boy named Rocky who’s afraid of, well, a lot of things! From the dark to creepy crawlies to his sister Margaret’s hilarious antics, Rocky’s world is full of things that scare him. But with a little help from his dad, he learns that facing your fears can be a lot more fun than he ever imagined.

This book is a perfect example of the kind of stories I love writing – fun, relatable, and full of heart. It shows kids that it’s okay to be scared sometimes, but it’s also okay to laugh at the things that once seemed scary. I hope it brings as much joy to your family as it did to me when I wrote it.
